The (looming) four months remaining until the big 3-0 have got me thinking about some things that I’d like to do before my 30th birthday. Since four months is not enough time to complete the following list, I’ve given myself the 4 months and the entire year that I’m 30 to accomplish all of them. The following is “the list” I’d like to complete before my 31st b-day (in random order).
1. Run my first marathon
2. Do a Triathlon
3. Climb a 14-er (a mountain that is 14,000 ft.)
4. Get a tattoo (the what and where has been decided!)
5. Self teach/study natural medicine and remedies for acute ailments
6. Start a new hobby: photography- I’m super excited about this. Jason is going to impart his expert skills and knowledge upon me. This will be something I can do and have fun with when I accompany Jason fly-fishing. I’ll have lots of time to goof around with his camera on lighting, apertures, angles, etc.
7. Read Don Quixote in its entirety (in Spanish)
8. Go hang gliding or skydiving with Jason
9. Learn a 3rd language (Jason and I want to do this together… deciding between Swedish or French)
10. Start a 2nd Masters (Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a Bilingual Education Endorsement)
11. Visit my dear friend Lauree in Czech Republic
12. See the Grand Canyon
13. Lose 10 pounds to reach my goal weight
14. Have a yard sale
15. Read the Bible in one year
16. Make my first pie
17. Go cross-country skiing for the second time
18. Get Lasik Surgery (if finances permit)
19. Seek the Lord in prayer more consistently, intentionally and with faith
20. Backpack Southern Colorado (this summer we did northern and central Colorado)
Watch for a post on each one as I complete it!
